Navigating Account Settings in BeWo

Managing your account settings is a crucial step in customizing the BeWo platform to meet your company's sustainability reporting needs. This guide walks you through accessing and modifying your account settings, ensuring you're set up for success from the get-go.

Accessing the Admin Panel​

Your journey to customized account settings begins in the BeWo platform's menu. Here, you'll find the “Admin Panel” option. Clicking on this will reveal a navigation list on the left side of your screen, directing you to various administrative functions, including “Account Settings.”

Setting up your Reporting Year Period​

A pivotal part of your initial setup is defining your reporting year within the “Reporting Settings.” This selection determines the period your ESG reporting will cover:

  • Defining the Start Month: Choose the month that marks the beginning of your reporting year. While many organizations opt for a January start, leading to a December end, BeWo allows the flexibility to start your reporting year in any month.
  • Duration: Regardless of the start month you select, your reporting year will extend over 12 months, ensuring a comprehensive annual report.

Simplified Account Adjustments​

Beyond the reporting year, BeWo's account settings are designed to be intuitive, requiring minimal adjustments for you to get started:

  • Input Settings: Here, you can specify the currency used in your invoices. However, this step is often unnecessary as BeWo's AI is adept at automatically recognizing and adapting to the currency in use, streamlining your data input process.
  • GHG Settings: This section allows you to select your carbon baseline year—the benchmark year for your initial ESG report against which future reports will be compared. Given its dependence on historical data input into the system, new users can initially overlook this setting until relevant data is available.
