Managing Facilities in BeWo

After setting up your organizational structure in BeWo, the next step is to add the physical locations where your business operates. The “Facilities” section in the Admin Panel is designed to let you incorporate offices, factories, warehouses, and other types of facilities into your sustainability reporting framework.

Adding New Facilities​

To add a new facility to your BeWo account:

  1. Navigate to the “Facilities” section within the Admin Panel.
  2. Click on “+ New Facility” located in the upper right corner to start the process.

Specifying Facility Details​

The new facility window requires you to fill in various details to accurately define your new location:

  • Facility Type: Choose from the list the type of facility you are adding (e.g., office, factory, warehouse).
  • Facility Name: Give your facility a distinctive name.
  • Assign Organization: Assign the facility to one of your previously set up organizations.
  • Country and Address: Specify the country and address of the facility. Utilizing the search field above the map can automatically fill in these details based on the location you find.
  • Facility Size: At the bottom of the window, input the size of your facility in square meters (m²).

After entering all the required information, click “Save” to add the facility to your account.

Managing Your Facilities​

Once created, each facility will be listed, allowing for easy management and overview. This list provides a quick reference to all your facilities, and you can:

  • Edit Facility Details: Make adjustments to any facility's information as needed.
  • View on Map: Below the list, a map view showcases the geographical distribution of your facilities, enhancing the visualization of your company’s physical footprint.
