Processing Data

In the Data Pipeline, processing data is a crucial step where your vouchers and lines are analyzed and prepared for CO2e emissions calculations. This article explains how data processing works in BeWo, how to navigate the processing workflow, and how to monitor the status of your data.

How Does Processing Work?

  • Automatic Processing: Vouchers are automatically picked up by the Data Pipeline and placed into a processing queue.
  • Processing Queue: The queue ensures that all data is processed systematically and efficiently by BeWo's AI-CO2e engine.

Monitoring Data by Reporting Year

The Data Pipeline allows you to track how much data has been processed for each reporting year.

Selecting a Reporting Year: You can select a specific reporting year from the navigation header in the top right corner. This filters the data displayed to show only vouchers and lines associated with that period.

Selecting Reporting Year

In this image, you can see how to select a reporting year from the navigation header.

Data Overview: For example, you might see that for the year 2023, there are 2,937 vouchers and 8,360 lines.

This image shows the number of vouchers and lines processed for the selected reporting year.

Understanding Vouchers and Lines:

  • Vouchers: References to one or more financial transactions.
  • Lines: Individual CO2e calculations derived from vouchers.

Filtering by Processing Status

You can filter data by Processing Status to focus on entries at a specific stage in the processing workflow.

Processing Statuses Include:

  • Waiting for Processing
  • Ready
  • Warning
  • Error
  • Posted

How to Filter:

  • Click on a Processing Status: For example, clicking on Ready will filter the results to show all vouchers and lines that are ready for review.

  • Status Counts: Each processing status displays the number of vouchers currently in that stage, giving you a quick overview.

Viewing Data by Organization and Integration Type

In the Data Pipeline, you can view helpful information about your data, such as how much is allocated to each organization and integration type.

Data by Organization: Displays the distribution of vouchers and lines across your organizations, helping you understand where your data is coming from.

Data by Organization

This image illustrates how data is allocated by organization.

Data by Integration Type: Shows the amount of data coming from each of your integrations (e.g., different ERP systems), allowing you to monitor data sources.

Refreshing Results

  • Manual Refresh: You can manually refresh the data processing results by clicking the Refresh button.
  • Purpose: This is useful if you want to see the most up-to-date processing status without waiting for an automatic refresh.

The processing view provides several tools to help you manage your data:

  • Search Functionality: Search for specific vouchers or lines using keywords or identifiers.
  • Sorting Options: Sort data by date, status, organization, or other attributes.
